Baseball Recap: Boise Comes Up Short

Boise was the 6-5 winner over Timberline when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Brave fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Brave have lost by exactly two runs.

Aidric Bird was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Boise has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Timberline, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

Boise does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Timberline, they will host Borah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
