Basketball Recap: St. John's Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ogilvie last Monday, St. John's Prep came back down to earth. The St. John's Prep Johnnies lost 74-49 to the East Central Eagles on Thursday. The Johnnies lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 92-28 score last time.

St. John's Prep's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15. As for East Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

St. John's Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 70-61 defeat against Braham on the 8th.
