Baseball Recap: Grace Christian School Gets the Win

While Grace Christian School put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for North Cross. Grace Christian School walked away with a 5-0 victory over North Cross.

The result came thanks to Jordan Lucy's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Grace Christian School's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Trice Redmon, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Redmon has posted since back in April of 2024. Braxten Lawrence also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Grace Christian School now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Cross, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian School will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grove Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on April 7. As for North Cross, they will head out to take on Carlisle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
