Northwest Christian saw some tournament action on Friday. Everything went their way against the Combs Coyotes as the Northwest Christian Crusaders made off with an 18-2 win.

Kinsey Unger and Ella Reuter did most of the damage at the plate: Unger went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Reuter went 1-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Unger has posted since back in March of 2024. Mia Angus was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Northwest Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Combs only posted a batting average of .154.

Northwest Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Combs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Northwest Christian will take on Morenci in a tournament on Saturday. As for Combs, they will take on ALA - Anthem South at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Combs has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
