Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart was the 3-0 winner over Mercy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Valkyries took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars on Saturday.

Sacred Heart's offense was headlined by Ava Mineer and Taylor Frey, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Cate Bakken and her 17 assists.

Sacred Heart's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mercy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Sacred Heart will be playing in front of their home fans against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mercy, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against St. Henry on the 23rd.
