Basketball Game Preview: Central Red Devils vs. Dexter Tigers

Central hasn't had much luck against Dexter recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Red Devils will head out to challenge the Tigers at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Central ended up a good deal behind George Stevens Academy and lost 40-24. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Eagles are ranked 19th).

Meanwhile, Dexter was able to grind out a solid win over Bucksport on Wednesday, taking the game 36-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Dexter, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Central might still be hurting after the 41-21 defeat they got from Dexter in their previous meeting back in December of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
