Basketball Recap: Upson-Lee Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Upson-Lee lost to LaGrange back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Upson-Lee Knights walked away with a 55-46 win over the LaGrange Grangers.

Upson-Lee's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Qua Smith, who posted nine points and three steals. That's the most steals Smith has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Marcellus Myles, who scored 14 points and six rebounds.

Upson-Lee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Upson-Lee pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for LaGrange, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Upson-Lee has already played their next matchup, a 65-36 victory against Lamar County on the 1st. As for LaGrange, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-56 win against Spalding on the 3rd.
