Baseball Recap: Midlakes Screaming Eagles vs. Wayne Eagles
Midlakes hadn't done well against Wayne recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Screaming Eagles skirted past the Eagles 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Screaming Eagles.
Braxton Wilkes was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Midlakes is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Wilkes was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Trey Martin was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Noah Bremer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
