Football Game Preview: Lincoln Patriots vs. Brandon Valley Lynx

The Lincoln Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Brandon Valley Lynx at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Lincoln is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Washington, who was ranked 11th at the time (Lincoln was ranked first). The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-31 victory over the Warriors on Friday. Give the Patriots' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Brandon Valley blew past Rapid City Central, posting a 53-7 win. Fans of the Lynx have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Brandon Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.

Lincoln beat Brandon Valley 31-21 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Lynx have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
