Softball Recap: University Victorious

University was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Atlantic on Thursday. The Titans never let the Sharks get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Karrina Fajardo looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Madison McCormick was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Cali Bates, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

University's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Atlantic, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University will venture away from home to take on Astronaut at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Atlantic, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Pine Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
