Softball Recap: South Pasadena Triumphs

While South Pasadena's win against San Marino wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Titans 7-5. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won eight in a row.

Cassidy Lee was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Brooke Zeisler also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

South Pasadena's record is now 10-6. As for San Marino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. South Pasadena is set to face off against their familiar foe Monrovia at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, San Marino will challenge rival La Canada at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
