Recap: Gateway Christian vs. StoneBridge Cavaliers
Gateway Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 20-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of StoneBridge. Gateway Christian has not had much luck with StoneBridge recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Gateway Christian used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Hallie Roth,
Evalyn Snider, and
Lanyah Franklin posted four points each.
Gateway Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for StoneBridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gateway Christian will take on Veritas School at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. StoneBridge won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Denbigh Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Denbigh Baptist Christian's defense has only allowed 25.5 points per game this season, so StoneBridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.
