Basketball Recap: Rowlett's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Rowlett lost against Wylie back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rowlett Eagles fell 38-31 to the Wylie Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 700th, while the Pirates are ranked 222nd).

Despite the loss, Rowlett still got an impressive performance from Daley Wilson, who posted nine points and seven boards. Amyah Jones was another key player, putting up four points.

The loss snapped Rowlett's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-18 record. As for Wylie, they pushed their record up to 16-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Rowlett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 30-18 defeat against Lakeview Centennial on the 24th. As for Wylie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-42 victory against Garland on the 24th.
