Softball Game Preview: Kingsburg Vikings vs. Selma Bears

The Kingsburg Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Selma Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Selma took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Kingsburg, who comes in off a win.

Kingsburg's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past San Luis Obispo 6-0.

Meanwhile, Selma suffered their closest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Porterville by a score of 3-1.

Selma saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Moriah Preciado, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Kingsburg's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Selma, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1.

Kingsburg was able to grind out a solid win over Selma when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
