Baseball Recap: Chandler's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Chandler was the 10-0 winner over Mountain View when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Chandler fell 6-2 to Mountain View on Friday. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Toros since on Friday.

Chandler got a good showing from Luis Valenzuela, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs Valenzuela has allowed over his last four matches.

At the plate, Chandler saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Harrell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Chandler's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8-1. As for Mountain View, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Chandler will challenge Marana at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Mountain View, they will face off against Dobson at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Dobson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.07 runs per game on average), something Mountain View will no doubt try to take advantage of.
