Basketball Game Preview: Kuemper Knights vs. East Marshall Mustangs

The Kuemper Knights will take on the East Marshall Mustangs on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kuemper comes in on 13 and East Marshall on four.

Kuemper can't be too worried about heading out to take on East Marshall: they just beat St. Albert at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Kuemper walked away with a 77-68 win over St. Albert last Tuesday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Falcons are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East Marshall humbled Ogden with an 86-56 victory. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Kuemper pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.5 points over those games. As for East Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.
