Volleyball Recap: Walton Raiders vs. North Forsyth Raiders

Walton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the North Forsyth Raiders on Tuesday. This was payback for Walton, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Walton took North Forsyth into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 22-25, 23-25, 15-7.

Lauren Butler paced Walton's offense, picking up 24 kills. Butler got some help from Katelyn Kowitz and her 35 assists. Finally, Scarlett Holden kept Walton's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Walton pushed their record up to 27-7 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Forsyth, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-8.
