Baseball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

Wagner was the 3-0 winner over Clemens when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wagner Thunderbirds came up short against the Clemens Buffaloes on Thursday, falling 9-1. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wagner saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Self, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Wagner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Clemens, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Wagner wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-5 loss against Davenport on the 6th. As for Clemens, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Brandeis on the 6th.
