 Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  in Friday's  second game as the team picked up their third straight  loss. Their  rough  15-5 defeat to the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels  might stick with them for a while. That's two games in a row now that Cornerstone Christian has lost by  exactly ten  runs.
  Jackson Waugh stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 3-for-4 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and a  run.  Noah Schober was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while going 1-for-2.
 On Coosa Valley Academy's side,  Konner Steele made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned run off   two  hits (and not a single walk). He has been hot recently, having posted two or more  stolen bases the last three times he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Brycen Wilson, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Coosa Valley Academy, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-16.
 Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coosa Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Evangel Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams will come into the  matchup having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
