Basketball Recap: Florence-Carlton's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Florence-Carlton had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Darby Tigers as they made off with a 66-43 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Florence-Carlton's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Darby, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Florence-Carlton and Darby will both be playing Loyola-Sacred Heart the next time they take the court. Florence-Carlton will host Loyola-Sacred Heart at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Darby will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
