After losing to Summit the last time they met, Evergreen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Evergreen Cougars simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Summit Tigers 43-6 at home. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Josh Bittner went supernova for Evergreen, rushing for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 92 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. That's the most rushing yards Bittner has posted since back in October of 2023. Another player making a difference was James Mauro, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
