Volleyball Recap: DuQuoin Indians vs. Vienna Eagles
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but DuQuoin had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They skirted past the Vienna Eagles 2-1. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day DuQuoin got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-20, 24-26, 25-23.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead DuQuoin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Love Dunklin, who had 27 digs, four aces, and a kill. That's the most aces Dunklin has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadie Hutchens, who had 17 assists.
DuQuoin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-11 record this season. As for Vienna, their defeat dropped their record down to 27-9.
DuQuoin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Massac County on the 31st. Vienna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
