Soccer Game Preview: Desert Hills vs. Snow Canyon

The Desert Hills Thunder will head out to challenge the Snow Canyon Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Desert Hills will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each matchup than the last.

Desert Hills barely beat Hurricane the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Thunder put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-1 win on Tuesday. With that victory, Desert Hills brought their scoring average up to 2.7 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Hurricane from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Todd Simister led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Snow Canyon's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crimson Cliffs on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for Snow Canyon seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Snow Canyon and nudges their season record down to 5-6. As for Desert Hills, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
