It's playoff time, and Maury had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the King's Fork Bulldogs 3-2. For the Commodores, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2022.

Maury had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-22, 15-12.

Keegan Anuar paced Maury's offense, picking up 12 kills. Anuar got some help from Luke Shomaker and his 28 assists. Anuar and Shomaker didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

The win made it two in a row for Maury and bumps their season record up to 16-3. As for King's Fork, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

Looking ahead, Maury will square off against Granby at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. King's Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
