Baseball Game Preview: New Lisbon Rockets vs. Wonewoc-Center Wolves

New Lisbon is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Wonewoc-Center a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The New Lisbon Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wonewoc-Center Wolves at 5:00 p.m. New Lisbon will be strutting in after a victory while Wonewoc-Center will be coming in after a loss.

New Lisbon will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against Almond-Bancroft on Friday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win.

Meanwhile, Wonewoc-Center came up short against Hillsboro on Thursday, falling 8-1.

The victory got New Lisbon back to even at 1-1. As for Wonewoc-Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

New Lisbon got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Wonewoc-Center by a conclusive 13-4 score. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
