Brandon Academy waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 67-59 victory over the Patel Trailblazers. The Scorpions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

Brandon Academy had a senior duo take command as Chris Harris dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds and Aaron Miller-Holmes went 12 for 22 on his way to 28 points in addition to five boards and five steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Miller-Holmes has scored at least a third of Brandon Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nigel Pinnock, who posted six points along with eight boards and four steals.

Brandon Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Brandon Academy pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Patel, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Brandon Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-25 victory against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy on the 17th. As for Patel, they will be playing at home against Zephyrhills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Patel is facing Zephyrhills at the right time seeing as Zephyrhills is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
