Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Falls Short of Jesuit in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Holy Cross couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jesuit Blue Jays. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Jays earlier this season, when they won 59-43.

The defeat snapped Holy Cross' winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 24-6 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 23-8.

Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jesuit, they will challenge Liberty Magnet on Friday. Liberty Magnet will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Jesuit surely won't give up without a fight.
