Softball Recap: Centennial Gets the Win

Centennial's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Orofino Maniacs by a score of 13-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Patriots have beaten the Maniacs the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Maniacs has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Cali Moorhouse, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jailey Polski ?25, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orofino only managed seven hits.

Centennial now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Orofino, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Coincidentally, Centennial and Orofino will both be playing Meridian the next time they take the field. The Maniacs will head out to face the Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
