Recap: Schoharie Storm vs. Mayfield Panthers
The Schoharie Storm's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Mayfield at home and fell 62-31. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Schoharie in their matchups with Mayfield: they've now lost four in a row.
Mayfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cloey Dopp, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Dopp's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Byrns, who scored 12 points.
Schoharie's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mayfield, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schoharie will take on Berne-Knox-Westerlo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berne-Knox-Westerlo will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Mayfield, they will be playing at home against Canajoharie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canajoharie has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4.
