Volleyball Recap: Oakland Comes Up Short at Home Against Franklin

Oakland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Franklin Admirals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-15.

Carlina Bauer paced Oakland's offense, picking up eight kills. Bauer got some help from Ellie Knox and her 15 assists. Bauer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Stella Logan, racking up two apiece.

Oakland will be taking part in a tournament against Hendersonville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Gallatin on the 21st.
