Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Gibson Eagle stepped things up a notch to give Eastern the 'W'. Eagle threw for 163 yards and three TDs on only 14 passes. The effort marked the most passing touchdowns he has had since back in October of 2024.

Eagle and Eastern will venture away from home to face off against Tri-Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Trojans thanks in part to Eagle: he threw for 194 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 33 yards.
