Basketball Game Preview: North Linn Lynx vs. Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels

After both having extra time off, the North Linn Lynx and the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court one another on Wednesday. North Linn knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Gladbrook-Reinbeck likes a good challenge.

North Linn is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Saturday. They snuck past Notre Dame with a 56-52 win.

Meanwhile, Gladbrook-Reinbeck came tearing into last Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Warhawks 61-46.

North Linn has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.1 points. Gladbrook-Reinbeck's victory bumped their record up to 19-4.

Everything came up roses for North Linn against Gladbrook-Reinbeck in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, as the team secured an 84-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Linn since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
