Basketball Recap: Cathedral Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cathedral can now relate to. They took a hard 74-60 fall against the Monument Mountain Spartans on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Spartans are ranked 31st).

Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Monument Mountain, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-2.

Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Monument Mountain, they will welcome Cohasset at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Monument Mountain's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 contests.
