Basketball Recap: Powdersville's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

There's no place like home for Powdersville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They snuck past the Hart County Bulldogs with a 48-42 win on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Powdersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raegan Bryant, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 17 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Those six assists gave Bryant a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Assemian, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Powdersville's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Hart County, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4.

Powdersville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 43-30 victory against St. James on the 20th. Hart County has also already played their next game, a 46-34 loss against Elbert County on the 21st.
