Softball Recap: Warren County Takes a Loss

After flying high against Spring Hill last Thursday, Warren County came back down to earth. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers fell 5-2 to the Columbia Central Lions on Thursday. The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Warren County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ky Damon, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Cortlyn Porter also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Warren County's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Columbia Central, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Warren County will face off against Rockvale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Coffee County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
