After each having a week off, the Lathrop Spartans and the Lincoln Fighting Zebras will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a seven-game winning streak alive.
Lathrop's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Beyer 54-0. That looming 54-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Spartans yet this season.

Treydon Santos continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 203 yards and two scores on only ten carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.1 rushing yards per game. Malachi Gonzales was in the mix as well, providing Lathrop with two touchdowns.
Lathrop didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Damian Hermosillo and Gonzales.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Lincoln over Marysville in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. The Fighting Zebras were the clear victors by a 42-18 margin over the Indians. Considering the Fighting Zebras have won five matchups by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lathrop better keep an eye on Eli Duff. He was instrumental in Lincoln's win, throwing for 195 yards and three TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. What's more, Duff racked up 154.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August. Another player making a difference was Mason Volzer, who picked up 72 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lincoln's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Rameez Usman, Walter Wiswell, and Ben Wade, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Lathrop's record now sits at 9-1. As for Lincoln, their record is now an identical 9-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Lathrop has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 304.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 159.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
