Soccer Game Preview: Desert Mountain vs. ALA - Gilbert North

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. The Desert Mountain Wolves will be taking part in a tournament against the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

ALA - Gilbert North better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Desert Mountain really get things going. Desert Mountain put the hurt on Verrado with a sharp 5-2 victory on December 10th.

Desert Mountain hit Verrado with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Landon Johnson (2), Michael Sheldrick, Jacob Stone, and Matteo Khalsa.

Meanwhile, ALA - Gilbert North had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three two weeks ago. They never let the Badgers onto the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Desert Mountain's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for ALA - Gilbert North, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
