Baseball Recap: Kodiak Takes a Loss

Kodiak managed to slip by Kenai Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears lost 9-3 to the Kardinals on Friday. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Kardinals earlier this season, when they won 8-6.

Zeke Saltonstall made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Kodiak's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kenai Central, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kodiak will face off against rival Redington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kenai Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Homer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
