Basketball Recap: Lemmon Cowboys vs. Harding County Ranchers
Lemmon has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 47-35 to the Harding County Ranchers on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-33 last Saturday.
Harding County was led to victory by Bailey Rae Verhulst and Kaylen Padden. Rae Verhulst posted 15 points and eight steals, while Padden dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Rae Verhulst is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. Kamry Padden was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.
Lemmon's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Harding County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemmon will take on Faith at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harding County, they will square off against Timber Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
