Basketball Game Preview: Southwest Onslow Stallions vs. Havelock Rams

The Southwest Onslow Stallions will take on the Havelock Rams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Onslow will be strutting in after a victory while Havelock will be coming in after a defeat.

Southwest Onslow is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home last Thursday. They blew past Richlands, posting a 66-39 win. The Stallions haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Carlos Pagan had an outrageously good game as he went 6-for-13 en route to 18 points in addition to six assists and five steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season. Jayden Laney was another key player, shooting 60% from the field on his way to 14 points along with six boards and four steals.

Meanwhile, Havelock was beaten by New Bern 76-42 on Tuesday.

Southwest Onslow will have to contain Rafael Abdul-Ali as he made an impact in Havelock's last game. He went 8-for-15 to rack up 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Prichard, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.
