Soccer Recap: Mead Starts Season with Victory at Home

Mead gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Liberty Common Eagles with a sharp 7-1 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Mead's offense was hitting Liberty Common from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Reese Ormsby led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty Common and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Mead has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Legacy on the 27th. As for Liberty Common, they will head out to challenge Loveland Classical at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
