Volleyball Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers lost against Girard back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Indians, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-12.

When it comes to explaining why Struthers lost, don't look at Elliana Benson. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Gianna Martin, who had five blocks and three digs.

Girard found their leader in sophomore Chloe Plant, who had 22 assists and three aces.

Struthers now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Girard, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Struthers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Hubbard on the 21st. As for Girard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against McKinley on the 20th.
