Softball Recap: Firebaugh Falcons vs. Lynwood Knights
Firebaugh came out on top against Lynwood on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Falcons walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-5 back in March.
Abygail Huizar spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.
