Kimberly dropped down to 8-2 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Oak Creek Knights, falling 8-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Papermaker Wasp were not able to get on the board.

As for Oak Creek, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-3. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Oak Creek's part, not much got past Rita Sippy, who gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Kimberly off the board. Sippy has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kourtney Kehoss and Ana Menden did most of the damage at the plate: Kehoss went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Menden went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Lina Hidri was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Looking ahead, Kimberly will take on Fond du Lac at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Creek, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-0 victory against Tomah on the 2nd.
