Basketball Game Preview: Taylor Wildcats vs. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons

Having just played yesterday, the Taylor Wildcats will get right back to it and host the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Taylor's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Florida School for the Deaf & Blind has been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Taylor easily dispatched Warner Christian Academy back in December of 2024, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Taylor fell just short of Crooms Academy by a score of 73-70 on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2024 (67), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Florida School for the Deaf & Blind played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Interlachen 63-25. The matchup marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Taylor against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 64-28 victory. In that contest, Taylor amassed a halftime lead of 44-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
