Basketball Recap: Metro Tech Takes a Loss

Metro Tech lost against Copper Canyon back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Metro Tech Knights had to suffer through a 70-36 loss at the hands of the Copper Canyon Aztecs. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Metro Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Yahir Monroy, who went 6 for 15 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Monroy is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Morales, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points and eight boards.

Metro Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Copper Canyon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Metro Tech has already played their next contest, a 91-25 defeat against McClintock on the 17th. As for Copper Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-48 loss against Washington on the 17th.
