Softball Game Preview: West Vikings vs. North Stars

West hasn't had much luck against North recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will face off against the Stars at 5:00 p.m. West has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against East Bakersfield, falling 13-2.

Meanwhile, North and South faced off in a cross-town battle on Thursday. The Stars lost 14-4 to the Spartans. That's two games in a row now that the Stars have lost by exactly ten runs.

Katherine Leask made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kaitlin Branson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

West might still be hurting after the 12-6 loss they got from North when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
