Basketball Recap: Stanley Beats New Town for Their Ninth Straight Victory

Stanley had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 42-36 W against the New Town Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-60 back in January.

Stanley pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for New Town, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Coming up, Stanley will square off against South Prairie/Max at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Town, they will head out to square off against Rugby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
