Recap: Fort Bend Clements Rangers vs. Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs
The Fort Bend Clements Rangers suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Saturday. They took a serious blow against Fort Bend Austin, falling 64-27. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fort Bend Clements in their matchups with Fort Bend Austin: they've now lost six in a row.
Fort Bend Austin was led to victory by Andrea Sturdivant and Shun?teria Anumele. Sturdivant scored 18 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds, while Anumele scored 25 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Sturdivant is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Pfeiffer Greene was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals and two blocks.
Fort Bend Clements has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Fort Bend Austin, the win was the 23rd in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-1.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Fort Bend Travis the next time they take the court. Fort Bend Clements will head out to face Fort Bend Travis at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fort Bend Austin will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
