Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-4 to the Annandale Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on Tuesday.

Libby Hoen and Josie Kamps stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hoen went 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles, while Kamps went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Annandale, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central will take on rival Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Annandale is set to square off against their familiar foe Litchfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
